Cobb Hospital Central Energy Plant

Cork-Howard, along with Hibble Peters & Dawson Architects were tasked with installing two 1,500kw generators, which included one companioning under-ground 40,000 gallon diesel storage tanks in the ever growing Cobb Hospital property.

Located only 8’ from the existing building and on top of solid rock created challenges in the storage tank burial, sanitary lines had to be re-routed to tie into the existing system, and the new Central Energy Plant which at completion had to interface with 23 existing remote transfer switches; all this had to occur without any impact to the current structure, patients, or staff.
